Character consistency is the hardest unsolved problem in most image generation workflows. Prompting the same description twice does not give you the same person — it gives you two people who match the same description. Seeds, reference images and elaborate prompt templates all reduce the drift without eliminating it.

Why prompting alone cannot hold a character
A text prompt describes a category, not an individual. "Woman, late twenties, dark hair, green eyes" narrows the space to millions of possible people, and the generator picks a different one each time. Adding more adjectives narrows it further but never to a single person, which is why prompt-only workflows plateau at 'similar-looking' rather than 'the same'.
Reference images help within a single generation but do not persist. Seed locking reproduces an exact image, not a person you can move to a new scene. Neither gives you an identity you can build a body of work around.
Training a character solves the actual problem: the identity is stored in the model, so it does not need to be re-derived from words every time.
Creating a character
The builder walks through it in steps. You choose whether to start from a description or from photos, define the traits you care about, and review face candidates before committing. Nothing is trained until you confirm the face you want, so you are not paying for a character you did not choose.
Once confirmed, the system generates the reference angles that anchor the likeness — the front and back views that let it place the character correctly in any later composition.
Creating a character from scratch costs 12 credits end to end for the standard path, and the process is resumable: a draft is saved as you go, so you can leave and come back without losing your progress.
Using the character
After creation, the character appears in the generator and every image, video or voice note you produce can be attached to it. You write the scene, not the person.
Characters are independent of each other. You can run several in one account — different looks, different voices, different content lines — and switch between them without re-setting anything up.
Each character can also carry a voice, so it becomes a full persona rather than only a visual identity.
Where character consistency pays off
Serialised content — anything where the audience is meant to recognise a recurring person — is impossible without it. A narrative series, a recurring persona, a brand mascot, a virtual spokesperson.
It also pays off in ordinary volume work. When the character is fixed, you stop spending generations on rerolls trying to get back to the look you had yesterday, which is where most of the waste in an inconsistent workflow actually goes.

How is this different from using a seed or a reference image?
A seed reproduces one exact image and a reference image only influences a single generation. Neither gives you a persistent identity. A trained character is stored and reused, so it holds across new scenes, angles and outfits you have never generated before.
How many credits does creating a character cost?
The standard from-scratch path costs 12 credits in total: 6 for the batch of face candidates and 6 to confirm your choice and generate the reference angles.
Can I create a character from my own photos?
Yes, provided the photos are of you or of someone who has explicitly authorised their use. Uploading images of a person without their consent is prohibited.
Can I have several characters on one account?
Yes. There is no single-character limit, and each character keeps its own likeness and its own optional voice.
What happens if a generation fails?
The credits are refunded automatically and the generation is marked as failed. You are never charged for output you did not receive.
